Power connections for your site
Food vendors select one standard (free) power connection when completing the site acceptance form.
Choose from:
- 10amp standard 3-pin plug
- 15amp wide ground 3-pin plug
- 16amp caravan plug
- 32amp single-phase PDL or c-form plug

Notes:
- If nothing is specified, a 16amp connection with a standard 3-pin plug is provided.
- Additional power connections can be purchased if required.
- Power is supplied to the edge of the site only .
- Plugs and sockets: To protect infrastructure and ensure safe setups, exhibitors are prohibited from connecting lower-rated plugs (e.g. 16A) into higher-rated sockets (e.g. 32A) unless certified by a licensed electrician. Non-compliant setups may be disconnected immediately, and exhibitors may be liable for any damage or disruption.

We reserve the right to charge an additional usage fee if you use more power than you have requested.
Your responsibility
As an exhibitor, it is your responsibility to arrange all electrical equipment on your site. All electrical equipment and connections used on site must comply with the Australia/New Zealand Standard 3002:2008, including a current test tag for your equipment. All electrical connections on high-level supplies must have a residual-current device (RCD) installed in the circuit.

On-site electrician
All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician who must provide Fieldays with a compliance certificate.
All electricity used at Fieldays is tracked and included in our carbon emissions profile.
Help us be efficient by:
- Switching off equipment when not needed
- Where possible, use renewable energy such as solar, battery, or biofuel options
Water
If you have a large amount of water or other liquid for disposal, contact our Customer Team on 07 843 4497 or sales@fieldays.co.nz to discuss your options.
Water connections for your site
All water connections are limited to one per exhibitor. You will be prompted to order a water connection when you complete the site acceptance form.
About your connection:
- Your connection does not include any connectors, or any grey water receptacle.
- The water connection will be delivered to the boundary of your site – from this point, you are required to supply the appropriate fittings at your own expense.
- Taps are provided at the base of most power poles, this is drinkable water supplied directly from Waipa District Council.
Every litre of water used at Fieldays is tracked and counted in our carbon emissions profile. Your water use directly impacts our sustainability goals.

- Reporting leaks or issues promptly
- Disposing of wastewater responsibly
Grey water
What is grey water? ‘Grey water’ is water that has been used for washing dishes, laundering clothes, or bathing.
Disposal information for your site
If you have grey water disposal requirements, please specify these in your site acceptance form. Log in to the Exhibitor Portal.
Grey water disposal
A receptacle for the disposal of grey water is provided at each Food Court. Disposing grey water directly on the ground, or in the storm water drains, regardless of the quantity, is prohibited.
Used cooking oil
Your used cooking oil isn't waste, it's a resource that gets collected and turned into soap, animal feed, roading materials and bio-fuel.

Cooking oil disposal
Oil drums and funnels are provided at each Food Court to dispose of cooking oils. Exhibitors found to be dumping cooking oil in any other location/method, may be closed for the remainder of Fieldays and/or you may be excluded from future events.

Allied Security is the exclusive security supplier authorised to be on-site for Fieldays. Private security requirements must be arranged through Allied Security, exceptions will not be considered.

Site cleaning
Site cleaning services are available for Exhibitors to use pre, during and post the event provided by Jani-King. The services includes vacuuming, cleaning floors and surfaces.
Jani-King is committed to sustainability and will use probiotic eco-benign cleaning products on your site. The products do not harm the environment and reduce the harmful use of chemicals.
