MEDIAWORKS AND FIELDAYS TURN UP THE VOLUME ON 2026
Fieldays is stepping into a bold new era of reach, energy and engagement, with MediaWorks confirmed as the official Media Partner for Fieldays 2026, taking place 10–13 June at Mystery Creek Events Centre.
This powerhouse partnership will deliver one of the largest digital and on-site media footprints at Fieldays to date, activating at least nine audio brands across radio, digital, streaming and outdoor platforms. The result? A fresh, broad, and dynamic Fieldays presence before, during and after the event giving more reasons than ever for New Zealand to tune in, turn up and take part.
With Fieldays entering its 58th year and MediaWorks’ legacy stretching back to 1989, this partnership brings together two trusted, iconic brands with a shared ambition: to connect rural, regional, urban and business audiences at scale, and to spotlight the innovation shaping the future of Aotearoa’s primary industries.
This partnership significantly expands the event’s national footprint, amplifying awareness, excitement and momentum across the country. MediaWorks’ multi-platform reach strengthens how Fieldays tells its story; not just as a four-day event, but as a year-round platform for connection, innovation and progress. With more than 1,100 exhibitor sites already secured four months out and an expected visitor number on par with 2025, Fieldays 2026 is tracking strongly and set to make an even bigger impact.
Exhibitors will benefit from heightened visibility and richer storytelling across MediaWorks’ extensive media network. From pre-event build-up to live on-site coverage and post-event content, this is the place for exhibitors to build anticipation before gates open and extend the life and return of their Fieldays investment well beyond the four days.
For visitors, Fieldays will feel bigger, more alive and more connected throughout the stable of MediaWorks brands. Expect more competitions, giveaways, live broadcasts and real-time coverage - all adding to the buzz and making it easier to engage with what’s happening on site and beyond.
“This partnership supports our long-term focus on connecting people, ideas and opportunity,” said Richard Lindroos, Chief Executive of the New Zealand National Fieldays Society. MediaWorks reach will help extend the Fieldays story beyond the event, while strengthening the value delivered to exhibitors and visitors.”
This partnership marks a new chapter for Fieldays; one that turns up the volume, expands connection and creates greater value for everyone involved.
“Fieldays is an iconic event that celebrates the innovation, resilience and spirit of regional New Zealand. We’re proud to come on board as Principal Event Partner and leverage our extensive regional reach through locally focused radio stations to support the continued growth of New Zealand’s primary sector,” said Wendy Palmer, CEO, MediaWorks.
“Rural New Zealand is the beating heart of our country, and as a company deeply connected to local communities through our locally produced radio shows, we’re thrilled to partner with Fieldays to help connect audiences and clients with this prestigious event,” said Nick Fisher, Head of Rural, Promotions, MediaWorks.
MediaWorks will showcase New Zealand’s most loved radio brands including The Rock, George FM, The REX Daily Podcast, More FM, Mai FM, Channel X, The Edge, rova and The Sound through appearances, on-site engagement, experiences and giveaways celebrating the rural sector.
This partnership marks another step in MediaWorks’ commitment to connecting with communities across Aotearoa and delivering experiences that bring audiences closer to the moments and events that matter most.
