The People Have Spoken, Fieldays Site Awards Announced
The Fieldays Site Awards have been announced, celebrating exhibitors who have created engaging, informative and well-presented site experiences for visitors at Fieldays.
For the first time, visitors had the opportunity to influence the results by voting via the Fieldays App. “By inviting visitors to vote, it brings a new lens to our judging process and our visitors perspective to the mix,” said Abbie Jansen, Venue Design and Analytics Manager at the New Zealand National Fieldays Society.
With over 1,200 exhibitors transforming Mystery Creek into a pop-up city for four days, the Site Awards recognise those who have gone above and beyond to create a creative and memorable presence at the event.
“The judges were unanimous in their decision echoing the results of the public's choice in selecting the winners”, said Jansen.
Participating exhibitors are judged on brand and storytelling, overall attractiveness, innovative site design, customer engagement and outstanding features.
Well-known as a Fieldays favourite, Johney’s Dumplings won Best Food Vendor Site, impressing judges and attendees alike with their quality food offering, overall presentation, and engaging setup. Visitors could watch the cooking process firsthand, adding a layer of authenticity and connection to the food.
Standing out amongst strong competition, GrainCorp Animal Nutrition has been named the Best Indoor Site – Agribusiness. Judges were particularly impressed with the clarity of product identification, making it easy for visitors to understand the full range of GrainCorp’s animal nutrition offerings. A highlight was the tactile, hands-on elements, which allowed attendees to engage directly with the products.
“We’re honoured to receive this award,” said Georgia Young, Customer Service Representative at GrainCorp Animal Nutrition. “Our customers usually catch up with our reps on the farm during work, but Fieldays offers a more relaxed setting—it's more about sharing a coffee and having a chat.”
Saint Kentigern College was awarded the Best Indoor Site – Non-Agribusiness for its strong visual identity. Judges said the site's simple, yet bold signage created an immediate visual impact. The display was clean, polished, and professional, with clear messaging that communicated the college's values.
Ballance Agri-Nutrients is the Best Outdoor Site – Large, recognised for delivering an outstanding visitor experience that caters to all ages and interests. From eye-catching signage to the popular coffee offering, the space was both functional and inviting.
The Ballance team brought energy and enthusiasm, clearly promoting exclusive Fieldays deals and providing expert knowledge to visitors. A highlight of the site was the interactive balancing scales activation.
Maxine Smith and Teeran Falconer from the Ballance Agri-Nutrients Connections and Communities team were thrilled to win the awards. “The ethos of the site is to provide a space for connection and community for our customers. They pitch up for an hour and catch up with their neighbours and friends over a Ballance pie and coffee, while the kids are entertained too,” said Smith.
Kiwi Az Creationz was awarded Best Outdoor Site – Small. The site stood out for its attractive visual appeal and welcoming atmosphere. Their products made from retired French Oak wine barrels and a variety of hardwood timbers were displayed creatively, and the wine barrel brazier was a great centrepiece, drawing visitors in.
“We’re thrilled to receive this award,” said Rachelle Mcintosh, owner of Kiwi Az Creationz. “There are a lot of amazing sites, so it’s nice to be recognised.”
