SUPER SATURDAY SET TO DELIVER BIG FAMILY DAY OUT AT FIELDAYS
The final day of Fieldays takes place tomorrow, with Super Saturday offering visitors one last opportunity to do business, secure Fieldays-only deals and enjoy a packed programme of competitions, demonstrations and entertainment.
Mystery haircuts, crowd favourites racing, food, family fun and rural experiences are all on the schedule.
Adding to the excitement, rova is giving Super Saturday attendees the chance to win an incredible $57,000 prize package. The giveaway includes a luxury five-person spa valued at $47,000 and a CFORCE 400 EPS ATV worth $10,000. Entry is simple, visitors just need to personalise their Fieldays ticket and be at Fieldays on Super Saturday to be in the draw. Plus, double your chances with an extra entry on the rova site PD52.
On the ground the Red Bull Cut It is returning after making its debut last year. The high-speed event brings grassroots motorsports to Fieldays. The racing machines are modified ride-on mowers with their cutting blades removed.
The action kicks off at 11:00am with the Joker lap racing, followed by teams racing, before competitors move into qualifying for the main all-in race at 2:00pm, where the day’s top competitors battle it out for ultimate bragging rights.
Adding to the fun, visitors can test their luck at Red Bull Cut It, where free mystery haircuts are on offer thanks to Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology. Buzz, skullet, mullet, fade, spin the wheel and let fate decide your new look.
Event organisers say Super Saturday, with rova is designed to bring communities together and showcase the very best of rural New Zealand.
“Super Saturday is all about creating a great day out for families,” says Fieldays Event Producer Karina Missen.
“Fieldays is a chance for those in the rural community to take time off-farm and for people from nearby towns and cities to experience rural life.”
Saturday will also see the finals of Fieldays Tractor Pull, in association with PTS Logistics. Crowds have gathered throughout the week along the riverside viewing area to watch the action unfold. The finals run from 8.00am to 1.30pm.
The Fieldays Excavator Competition Finals will also take place, with operators from across Waikato and the Bay of Plenty competing for the title of Regional Excavator Champion. Visitors can also get involved, with the family-friendly “Doug the Digger” activity for children and “Have a Go” excavator experiences for adults.
Families will find no shortage of action in the Fieldays Family Fun Zone. Packed with free, hands‑on activities, the zone invites kids and parents alike to scale the rock wall, try the bungy trampoline, test their swing on the golf simulator, or burn off energy on the inflatables.
Just steps away, families can wander through the Heritage Village, where highlights include the historic church, the old Kihikihi jail and the National Dairy Museum. For those interested in rural art, the Fieldays Creative Space, also located in the Heritage Village, celebrates storytelling and humour inspired by artist David Henshaw.
Food lovers can head to the Fieldays Pantry, where some of New Zealand’s finest artisan producers are showcasing locally made cheeses, chutneys, boutique wines and other specialty products.
As the final day of Fieldays 2026, Saturday also offers visitors the last opportunity to take advantage of exclusive exhibitor promotions and Fieldays-only offers before the event wraps up.
“The weather this year has been fantastic, and it’s really set the scene for a great Fieldays. If there’s ever been a year to come out and experience what it’s all about, this is it. With crisp, beautiful Waikato days, great activities, and something for everyone, we’re encouraging people to come along and make the most of Super Saturday”, says Missen.
With large crowds expected, visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early to make the most of the day. Park & Ride is your best option for getting to Fieldays this week. Park your car and catch the free buses from Hamilton, Cambridge, and Te Awamutu. See timetables: https://www.fieldays.co.nz/attend-fieldays/getting-to-fieldays
Visitors can download the Fieldays App from the App Store or Google Play, allowing them to access the interactive site map, pin their vehicle location, find exhibitors, locate water stations and food courts, and plan their day with ease.
