Chainsaws growl and woodchips fly during the thrilling challenges in this action packed zone.

Coordinated by the expert team at STIHL, the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is an array of timber sport activities to capture everyone’s attention. Take a seat in the grandstand and enjoy the excellent view of the action.

The Rural Catch will be in the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Arena at lunchtime. Contestants will be going head to head (guys vs gals) in a Chainsaw skills event that whittles down competitors until only two are left battling it out for bragging rights.

Before and after the Rural Catch competitors visit, WINTEC will be demonstrating Chainsaw skill seminars. During this session, you can learn how to tackle common Chainsaw challenges such as how to cut a tree under compression.

For the first time ever, STIHL will be hosting an official STIHL TIMBERSPORT® New Zealand Ladies competition. The top female competitors from around New Zealand are taking up the challenge in what promises to be an exciting spectacle. The ladies will use, Axe, Saw and Chainsaw to battle it out to be named the first ever STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Ladies Champion.

On Friday STIHL hosts the second ever STIHL TIMBERSPORT® New Zealand Rookies competition.
