New Ute for Fieldays visitor thanks to Isuzu Utes New Zealand

Cambridge couple, Jane and John McLaren, have driven home in their brand-new Isuzu D-Max Ute after tagging their Fieldays Explorer Band at the 2019 event.

2019 was the first year of the Fieldays Explorer Band, powered by Vodafone NZ, which used innovative RFID technology in a simple wristband that allows visitors to input their details and scan their band at various participating exhibitors during the event and be in to win the Isuzu D-Max Ute.

115,000 visitors picked up their free band when they came through the gates and throughout the event the wristbands had 129,573 interactions which included exhibitor check-ins, leads, competition entries, coffee orders etc.

Fieldays visitors had the chance for up to three entries into the draw to win the Ute – one by registering the band, one by tagging it at the Isuzu Utes New Zealand site and one by returning the band at the end of the day. Now the winner has been drawn, all of the returned bands will be cleaned and reused again at next years event.

Winner Jane attended Fieldays on the Friday with her son as it is known as “Fieldays Friday” at school. Jane fully embraced the opportunity that the wristband offered taking the time to visit several exhibitors that had activations throughout the event. She is absolutely delighted having never won anything before now.

Jane and John were presented with their brand-new Ute by Isuzu New Zealand’s Marketing Manager, Kathryn Hayward who confirmed that Isuzu Utes New Zealand have committed to another Isuzu D-Max giveaway for the 2020 event.

After receiving the keys to their new ride, Jane got to test it out on the Isuzu test track onsite at Mystery Creek to get some mud on the tyres!
