Fieldays FAQ’s

What time do gates open? The gates open daily Wednesday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm.
Where is Fieldays located? Fieldays is held at Mystery Creek, 125 Mystery Creek Road, Ohaupo, New Zealand.

How do I get to Fieldays? Mystery Creek is a convenient 15 minute drive from Hamilton’s CBD, 2 minutes from Hamilton Airport, 15 minute drive from Te Awamutu and Cambridge, and just over 1.5 hours from Auckland, Tauranga and Rotorua. The most common method is by car. You can also get to Fieldays by catching a bus. Other options are by boat or helicopter. Please be aware times may vary due to periods of high volume traffic, we recommend you plan accordingly to allow enough time. For more information please visit
Is there parking available at Fieldays? Ample free parking is available off Mystery Creek Road and Airport Road. Use the handy pin my car tool in the Fieldays app to ensure you can easily find your vehicle at the end of the day. Keep a lookout for the shuttle bus operating from the Orange Car Park in Gate 0, shuttling visitors to the gate. 
I have a mobility pass is there parking available for me? Mobility access parking is available on site for CCS permit holders and is accessible through Gate 0 off Airport Road.
Can I catch a bus
to Fieldays?
Catch any Hamilton city bus or a regional bus from seven participating stations to the Hamilton Transport Centre then straight to Fieldays. Regional buses include; Raglan, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Paeroa, Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Huntly. Full timetable will be available from May 2020 and accessible at
Where are the
toilets at Fieldays?
Turn on site amenities on the map page in the phone app for the toilet locations around site. Alternatively you can search ‘toilets’, refer to Fieldays Programme, or follow on site signage.
Can I buy food at Fieldays? There is a range of delicious food and refreshment options available. We have four large food courts, as well as a restaurant and bar, there’s something for the entire family. Check out the map to see the food courts near you.
Can I bank or
withdraw cash onsite?
ATMS are located on M Road outside the Pavilion and in Food Court 2, providing you with onsite deposits, credit card and cash withdrawal services. Normal banking terms and conditions and fees apply. 
Is there a courier service available? The free Fieldays courier service can help if you purchase something that is too heavy, awkward or big to carry to your vehicle. Please note the weight limit for this courier service is 20kg. The Fieldays courier service transports your purchased parcels from exhibitor sites to the Courier Depot at Gate 2 for easy retrieval by you as you leave at the end of your visit. Contact the free Fieldays Courier Service number (to be confirmed closer to the event) from 8.30am – 4pm during the event to arrange parcel collection or talk to the selling exhibitor to arrange this for you. All items must be collected by 4pm on Saturday 13 June.
I’m bringing an international guest, is there an international centre at Fieldays? Overseas visitors to New Zealand are invited to register on our website for access to the International and Business Centre. Lounge facilities, internet, meeting rooms and light refreshments are available.
Are there mobility scooters to hire? Mobility scooters are available to hire on site from Life Unlimited. These are located at Gate 1. There is a limited number of mobility scooters for hire, please call 0800 008 011 to book or for enquiries.
Can I bring my pet/animal to Fieldays? Visitors are not permitted to bring animals on site, with the exception of guide dogs for the visually impaired and certified disability assist dogs. If you bring your pet to Fieldays, or leave your pet in your vehicle, you will be asked to take them home.
I’ve lost someone in my group, what do I do? If you need to report a missing person, or if you are separated from your group, go to the Salvation Army site located on Bank Road, near the Village Green and Services Building or call us on 0800 004 444 for assistance.
Can I fly my drone at Fieldays? Drones are not permitted under any circumstances.
Is there a first aid centre at Fieldays? For general first aid visit the Services Building on Bank Road or call Fieldays on 0800 004 444 or 07 843 4499
What do I do if there is an emergency while I am at Fieldays? In case of an emergency please dial 111 and provide your location 125 Mystery Creek Road, Ohaupo  and contact details. Then contact the Event Office on 0800 004 444 or 07 843 4499 to report the incident.
Is there a parents’ room at Fieldays? Parents’ rooms are located at the Salvation Army site (NC), in the Services Building on the Village Green and in the toilet block of the Pavilion on E Street, just down the corridor from the glass foyer. Inside the parents’ room you will find:
-Hot water
-Change tables
-Comfy seating
What is an Explorer Band?  The Explorer Band experience has been built to add value for customers. This innovative experience uses a simple wristband to help you connect with your favourite exhibitors at Fieldays.
Can I see the information I have collected on my wristband?  Yes! Absolutely, by registering your wristband in the app under “profile” you can access a link to see a complete list of all of the information that is stored against your wristband. This includes a list of all of the exhibitors you have chosen to interact with (by tapping your band) throughout the event!
Can I stay in my camper-van onsite? No, we do not allow camper-vans to stay onsite over night. All camper-van owners must find their own accommodation outside of the event.
What items are prohibited on-site? Items that are prohibited at Fieldays include: Quad bikes, Skateboards, Scooters, Dogs (aside from guide and assistance dogs), Hand trollies, Weapons, Alcohol, illegal drugs
Is there food suitable for different dietary requirements? At Fieldays there is a very wide variety of food to suit most, if not all dietary requirements. To look up specific requirements, please refer to the app which shows the different food vendors available.
Where can I find accommodation
during the event?
Attendees are required to find and organise their own accommodation as this is something we cannot assist with. Some options to look in to could include: AirBnB, Trivago, and TradeMe or contact the local i-site who have visibility of any vacancies across the region.

What should I do if I get my car stuck in
the car-park?
If you manage to get stuck, talk to one of our helpful staff or volunteers and they will help find on of the operations team nearby to pull you out.
