The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society works to minimise the incidence and impact of cancer in the community through support services, information resources, health promotion programmes and funding for research. This year's Fieldays display will focus on men's health, specifically colon cancer, providing an informal, fun and interactive environment for men to discuss the health issues relevant to them. It will also present information on the new Cancer Society's Lions Lodge in Hamilton, which provides free meals and accommodation to people living out of Hamilton while they receive treatment at the Waikato Regional Cancer Centre.
