Why should you be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? After being single for so long, I deserve some recognition (lol). I would be greatful for the opportunity to meet different people and would greatly enjoy the experience.

Why should you be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? Because I have come from Auckland and I would love to show ‘townie’ Fieldays goers that anyone can do it. Agriculture is an awesome life to be involved in. And to have a sweet as time and meet some great people which I love to do.

Why should you be Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? I should be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year because I’m driven and motivated to be the best farmer that I can possible be. I have a real passion for farming. I am also attractive and fun to be around and have a good sense of humour. I am very skilled all round the farm and at most things I do. I’m fit and athletic, love animals and people. I am knowledgeable about most varieties of farming. Very sociable and confident. I have a great personality and am very loving and caring.

Why should you be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? I'm just a genuine rural guy! I will give anything a go and will make a great contestant for the competition. I am yet to meet my Mrs Right, but when I do I will treat her like a princess.

Shaun Thomas
Region: Ashburton
DOB: 16/10/1986
Occupation: Farm Manager
Why should you be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? Because I’m a good bugger but I don’t fall into the nice guy category (you know the one you wouldn’t want to go there with).

Nick Torrens
Region: Te Aroha
DOB: 13/07/1982
Occupation: Sharemilker
Why should you be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? I’m a typical kiwi boy with something extra. Enjoys drinking Irish with the boys and talking motors, but can tell a Karen Walker necklace from a Boh Runga, thinks 2008 Main Divide Riesling is the best thing you’ll ever drink and that Josh Kronfeld is awesome, but Grahame Sydney will always be Otago’s greatest talent!

Simeon Ward
Region: Puketaha
DOB: 06/01/1987
Occupation: Managing Director
Why should you be the Fieldays 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year? Because I’d like a new Hilux. I should be the 2010 Rural Bachelor of the Year because I combine older techniques with new sound and socially acceptable innovations. And let’s face it, who doesn’t want a new Hilux?
