The Fieldays Innovation Centre hosts finalist entrants from the Fieldays Innovation Centre Awards, vying for the prestigious Golden Standard Award. Located right in the heart of Fieldays, this well regarded competition provides a great opportunity to win prizes and gain exposure at Fieldays.

Inventions Category - Back Yard Invention
Invented (usually) by individuals / low key / backyard-type of invention. The Invention must not be advertised, marketed or sold to the public, either before or during Fieldays 2012. However arrangements with potential manufacturer or distributors are welcome.

Equipment Category
Equipment entries are entries with professional input. Imported Equipment entries must have been made available throughout New Zealand and some must have been sold prior to this years’ Fieldays but not before last years’ Fieldays.

The competition encourages New Zealanders to get creative in the rural sector, by producing new devices, developments and equipment which improve and support farming practice.
Entrant inventors strive for the prestigious Golden Standard, the supreme award in innovation worth $5,000. Every year the number and standard of entries increases considerably.
Post Competition Support
This year the NZ Agricultural Fieldays has placed significant emphasis on supporting inventors post competition. In previous years entrants may have been ill equipped to explore the commercial possibilities of their inventions. The Fieldays Innovations committee is committed to bridging the gap between the creators and potential investors, both locally and internationally; by providing expert guidance on marketing, development, protection and finance of their product.
Organisers will go the extra mile for entrants by providing valuable opportunities and mentors for the innovators. Dedicated seminars will be held during Fieldays; allowing innovators to meet with rural business heavyweights and investigate the potential of their creations.
The Innovations Centre is one of the most popular features of Fieldays. By displaying in this area you will be exposing your product to over 117,000+ visitors to the event.
The winners of the Golden Standard award will receive more than the kudos and prize money of the award; the media exposure of their invention is invaluable. Armed with the correct tools to make the most out the attention gained, the opportunities are endless.
