DOME SPACEFRAME
The Devan D30,000, D25,000 and DN15,000 Tank domes
incorporate a tubular framework called the “Spaceframe”. This
Spaceframe does not support the dome structurally. It is an
added long-term safety feature giving our domes extra loading
strength. This modular, bolt-on frame is assembled from inside the
tank after the moulding process is completed and is designed to
expand and contract with the tank during temperature changes.

THE MATERIAL & CONSTRUCTION
Devan tanks are manufactured from specifically designed
polyethylene. This material has been developed and tested in
the market place over many years for the manufacture of upright
water storage containers. It will not degrade, and is UV stabilised
for New Zealand conditions, it is also resistant to algae growth as
a result of its formulation.
Computer controlled rotational one-piece moulding is utilised
to achieve a stress-free state in our tanks. Devan Water Tanks are
designed for strength, practicality and durability to comply with
AS/NZS 4766:2006.

COLOURS
Devan Plastics use tank colours that are formulated to satisfy
the requirements for the Australian and New Zealand Standard
for drinking water. The colours have been formulated to resist
the growth of algae by inhibiting the transmission of light. For
ultraviolet light stability, our tank colours contain an excellent
UV additive package which is designed to handle the higher UV
conditions in Australia and New Zealand. Visit our web site for

DEVAN COLOSTRUM tanks are made from food
grade polyethylene using a translucent white
which allows fl uid levels to be easily assessed.
The colostrum range is made of a UV
stabilised product made to suit New Zealand
conditions and is lightweight to allow for easy
manoeuvrability around the farm or business.
The Devan colostrum tank range has a large
500 mm manhole for easy access or stirrer
installation and is available in a wide range of
colours if translucent is not required.

WHEY AND PROLIQ TANKS. Devan has developed
a full range oftank sizes that are built to withstand
whey or proliq products for on-farm storage.
These tanks have a specifi c gravity rating of 1.2
and can be upgraded to accommodate 80 mm
moulded in stainless steel outlets for tanker
fi lling points and farm hydrant reticulation.
These tanks are heavy duty, made from food
grade, UV stabilised polyethylene, Devan whey
tanks are built for purpose and will last the
distance.


MOLASSES TANKS. More and more New Zealand
farmers are using molasses in their feed system to
provide extra nutrition to their herd. Molasses has a
specific gravity of 1.4, requiring a super strong tank.
Devan developed a range of tanks sizes (40
tonne, 30 tonne, 20 tonne, 14 tonne and 8
tonne) specifically for the purpose of on-farm
molasses storage. These super strong tanks are
made from food grade polyethylene and are UV
stabilised to suit the harsh New Zealand climate.
